Mm. A good topic, and overall good writing. Would mind a critique? Didn't know if this was just for discussion purposes or for editing also.

I think the species matters. I know that, because I am wolf inside, the way in which I would respond violently is different, but then the simple fact that I chose a violent response has little to do with being wolf at all.

Example: yesterday, a girl on the bus behind me was having a shouting match with her cell-phone. My first mental reaction was to shake me head and stalk off, but then she started waving her arms around and accidentally caught me on the side of my face. My first reaction this time was to make her submit to me and apologize. A mental image of knocking her down, grabbing her throat in my jaws and growling until she submitted presented itself. But, violence in this situation would have gotten me nothing but arrested, so I took some tissue out of my pocket and fashioned a nice pair of ear-plugs.

Again, an interesting idea. And true, as well; too many people seem to enjoy fobbing their actions off onto their animalness, when in reality they are still responsible.
